Bill Ward

Bill Ward (Mar,6,1919 - Nov,17,1998) graduated from the Pratt Institute,
a commercial art school in Brooklyn, in 1941. He worked for many comic books.
Upon his release from the army in1946, Ward rejoined the Quality Comics Group.
Ward's Torchy the Blond Bombshell began in Doll Man Comics in1946. From his
1946 "good girl art" in "Torchy the Blond Bombshell" and his cartoons beginning
that same year in "Humorama" to his death in 1998, Bill Ward's art has graced
mem's magazines.
He is famous as a cartoonist drawing sexy pinup girls to ordinary persons.
But on the other hand, he drew a lot of female domination scenes. He illustrated
many paperback books for Eros Goldstripe during the 1970's.
